Staff Awards categories announced!
Staff Awards categories announced!
After a 3-year hiatus, we’re pleased to announce the categories for this year’s Staff Awards.
The categories have been refreshed to reflect our Employee Values, the Corporate Plan and the Welsh Government’s Five Ways of Working (5WOW), as well as to celebrate the dedication and commitment of staff, after an extremely challenging two years.
Due to the absence of the awards in 2020 and 2021, nominations can be made for work undertaken since the last awards event held in the latter part of 2019. We welcome all applications, whether you’re nominating a colleague within your own directorate, or someone you have worked with across the Council in another part of our organisation.
As in the previous years, the awards event, generously sponsored by Leekes, will be delivered at zero cost to the residents of the Vale of Glamorgan. This is due to the generosity of a range of sponsors, who are listed below against each award category.
Our Heroes Categories
These nominations are specific to each directorate/school and aim to recognise an individual who has made a significant contribution to the organisation, school, community or citizens. The nomination should highlight the contribution made and the impact this has had, indicating how the nominee has worked in line with our values and wellbeing objectives.
We want to see how staff and teams have embraced transformative, innovative and creative ways of working. The contribution could be for a specific project, pandemic response, going the extra mile in their role or exceptional customer service.
