Could your project benefit from drone support?
Building services operate a drone service which has helped many teams in the past with various projects.
06 September, 2021
T
he service initially started by offering aerial surveys of buildings, to save companies from needing to erect scaffolding to check their roofs. But since it was established in 2018, the service has been used for a wider range of projects. Some examples include:
-
aerial photography for the enforcement team;
-
a video clip of pupils in the shape of a white ribbon, for the national campaign;
-
aerial footage of the Vale for videos;
-
a clip of the sand art at Barry Island;
-
support with flooding incidents and assessing damage; and
-
suporrted Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to assess damage following a landslide, within 24 hours of the incident.
The drone is also capable of creating 2D and 3D models from images captured, which allows the team to take accurate measurements of distances, areas, and volumes.
The team have pulled together a showreel to showcase some of the work they have done.
