Call to nominate your Care Stars!

Social Care Wales has launched the Care Stars 2021 awards to recognise care workers that have gone above and beyond to make a difference to people’s lives during the pandemic.

During the last year, our communities have been faced with unprecedented challenges. For those who rely on care and support and those employed to care for them, these challenges have proved exceptional.

The Council, alongside Social Care Wales would like to recognise the fantastic efforts of our care workers during the past 15 months.

There are four categories for nominations:

• Social care support for adults
• Social care support for older people
• Social care support for children
• Childcare, play and early years services.

You can nominate any paid care worker who works in social care or childcare, play and early years in Wales. If you have anyone in your team who deserves credit for their work then we urge you to put them forward.

You can do this by completing the nomination form and returning to Lance Carver, or directly to Rob Jones (rajones@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk) the Council’s Communications Manager.

They could work in the public, independent or voluntary sectors, and in any role. We have four broad categories altogether which cover most aspects of care in Wales. 

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on 23 June.
