So, you want to learn Welsh?

As a Council employee, you can learn Welsh free of charge through the Work Welsh scheme.

You do not have to use annual leave or your own time to attend the courses but please check with your manager before signing up. Please complete the Work Welsh sign-up agreement and send to the Work Welsh Coordinator.

For any queries, please contact the Welsh and Inclusion Officer Elyn Hannah:

Chief Executive, Rob Thomas said: "There are huge benefits to learning a new language such as Welsh.

"For individuals it contributes to your personal and professional development.

"For the organisation and our wider communities and residents, having staff who speak Welsh ensures we can communicate bilingually across all our services.

"I am really proud to offer staff the opportunity to learn Welsh and to also give those with existing Welsh language skills to improve and gain the confidence to work in Welsh."
