Flu Clinic 2024

Occupational Health Drop-in Flu Vaccinations Available for Staff

Flu is a highly infectious respiratory illness caused by viruses which change every year.

It spreads very easily from person to person and is much worse than a bad cold. Symptoms can be severe, including fever, chills, headaches, aching muscles, a cough, and sore throat.

For most healthy people flu is an unpleasant but usually self-limiting disease with recovery generally within a week, however for some there is a particular risk of severe illness: older people, pregnant women, those with underlying disease such as chronic respiratory or cardiac disease and those immunosuppressed.

It is also recommended to receive the flu vaccine if you are a main carer of an older or disabled person or have close contacts with an immunocompromised individual.

Please see below the dates that Occupational Health is delivering flu vaccinations. All sessions are drop-in, so there is no need to book an appointment, however, you must ensure that you have completed your Flu Consent Form prior to attending.
