National Coming Out Day

11 October 2024 is National Coming Out Day—a day of empowerment, courage, and authenticity

National coming out day

This day reminds us of the importance of creating a workplace where everyone can be open and proud as their true selves.

For those in the LGBTQ+ community, coming out can be a deeply personal and sometimes challenging journey. National Coming Out Day serves as a supportive platform for individuals to share their stories, experiences, and to find strength in the community and allies.

It's a day to celebrate the resilience and bravery of those who have come out, as well as to show unwavering support for those who may still be on their journey. As a LGBTQ+ network, GLAM is here to support any individual on this journey, please reach out to for any further information and support.

Please feel free to reach out to us at GLAM@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk

There are also some great support documents available via Stonewall and other organisations to support LGBTQ+ individuals as well as families.
