Sculpture Cymru exhibition showcases the best of Welsh sculpture at Art Central Gallery

Art Central Gallery is proud to host the Sculpture Cymru and Friends – Meeting of Minds exhibition from 2 November to 11 January 2025.

Sculpture Cymru exhibitionOpened on Saturday 2nd November by Cllr Rhiannon Birch, the exhibition showcases 100 works by 28 artists, including some of the most renowned sculptors in the Wales.

Sculpture Cymru was established in 2000 to provide opportunities for sculptors across Wales to collaborate, exhibit, and exchange ideas. With a membership of approximately 20 sculptors, the group has built a strong reputation for its dynamic exhibitions and community-focused events. This exhibition not only raises the group's profile but also strengthens connections between sculptors and wider audiences.

For this event, existing members have invited guest artists, resulting in a stunning collection of works that explore a variety of materials, techniques, and artistic visions. Participating artists include Dilys Jackson, Valerie Coffin Price, Nick Lloyd, Su Roberts, and Sebastien Boyesen, among others.

The exhibition also features contributions from a significant number of Vale of Glamorgan-based artists, highlighting local talent on a national stage.
