Upcoming events at Penarth Outdoor Theatre

Kymin Outdoor Theatre is back, and they’re presenting Romeo and Juliet and Dr Doolittle this summer. 

Award-winning Illyria returns to Penarth, and it all kicks off with their acclaimed outdoor theatre production of Romeo and Juliet on 11th July, 7pm. The production was Edinburgh's Critic's Choice ten years ago, has seen 5-star reviews in Canada and has received award nominations in Vancouver.

Illyria have been producing high-quality outdoor theatre for over thirty years across the world, and have won four international "Best Performance" awards. They pledge that all their actors are paid a fair living wage and treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

The second show they are performing is their 2018 hit Dr Doolittle show, featuring a funny, much-loved and exciting family adventure. The production lands in the Kymin theatre on August 10th, 3pm.

Kymin asks the audience to bring low-backed chairs or blankets and dress warm. They also allow picnics (although no BBQs), however light refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.
