Defnyddia dy Gymraeg (Use your Welsh) campaign!

The campaign, running from 25 November to 9 December, is promoting the use of the Welsh language in our everyday lives.

Defnyddia dy Gymraeg campaign

Led by the Welsh Language Commissioner, the annual Defnyddia dy Gymraeg campaign encourages people across Wales to use their Welsh every day - whether that be at home, at work, in the shop, when socialising, on the phone, face to face, or online.

Welsh Services

Promoting Welsh language services is key to ensuring people can use the language in their everyday lives.

As a Council, we provide all of our services in Welsh.

Staff can find out more about the Welsh Language Standards and how they impact our work on the Hyb Cymraeg.

Want to use your Welsh? Staff are invited to a tea party for Welsh speakers.

Interested in learning Welsh?

Work-Welsh-SquareIf you don’t speak Welsh but are interested in learning, staff can get involved in Work Welsh courses.

Courses are free of charge to staff and will take place in work time – you will not have to use your leave or own time to attend the courses.

Work Welsh is not just for learners but also for Welsh speakers who want to improve their language skills and gain confidence to use their Welsh more in the workplace.
