Are you interested in helping with the Winter Gritting Service?

The Winter Services Team are looking for colleagues with a Category C and CPC who may interested in assisting with the Winter gritting service. 

During the Winter season, Neighbourhood Services and Transport provide a service to salt and clear ice / snow from pre-approved routes throughout the Vale. 

Drivers work in a 1 in 3 weekly on-call / stand-by out of hour's rota, between 5pm and 6am weather dependant (weekends may be earlier). 

For heavy snow periods you may be asked to plough / salt during your working day. 

If anyone with a Category C and CPC may be interested, the Winter Services Team asks that you get in touch with them as soon as possible where full training to drive and operate the gritting vehicles will be provided.
