Residential home deputy manager retiring after 21 years of service.
Deputy manager of Southway Residential home, Wendy Page is retiring on the 21 of July after over two decades of dedicated service.
Senior Manager, Colette Rees said: “Wendy has been instrumental in developing staff and creating a shared sense of team pride and achievement.
“Wendy has not only proved to be an effective leader but a creative one who injected fun into the workplace and unified the team.”
Wendy said that 21 years have gone quickly because she has been so happy working at Southway alongside a team of competent and dedicated staff.
She has decided to retire early and work part time in a different capacity to achieve a better work life balance.
Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Lis Burnett said: “Wendy has been an asset to the team at Southway Residential home and has been fundamental to co-managing the selfless staff that care for vulnerable adults.
“We are sad to see her leave and wish her all the best with her retirement and any future endeavours.”

Southway Residential Home is in the centre of Cowbridge, and cares for residents over the age of 60 and those who living with dementia.
