A new creative project launched by Creative Community Libraries to get creative, form new friendships and have fun in the process.

Following the success of their first exhibition last year, CCL are looking to take this project further by working with the concept of ‘Mail Art’ where the group will select two different libraries to work on artistic pieces individually and then swap for the other team to finish.Creative Community Libraries (CCL) began during the first Covid lockdown and saw volunteers and friends of Volunteer led libraries in the Vale catch-up online to share artistic and creative ideas.

If you’re interested in finding out more information, CCL would love you to join them at the Palmerston Adult Education Centre in Barry on Saturday 14th May between 10am and 3pm where the group will be having a chat about the project to explain how it works and even demonstrate a test run. The project is open to all, with no age limit.

“Come along to see how it works, see our test run – successes and creative mishaps!  Have a go too!

“Sign up, feedback and help us make this project and the group flourish and fill the Vale with Creative fun and in the process meet new people and make new friends.

“Refreshments will be available, so just come and have a cuppa on us.”
