Launching the Council's Culture Book
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Culture Book will launch on 06 September 2021.
The Culture Book is the next stage of the Council's Employee Engagement journey and builds on the Staff Charter. It sets out what the Vale of Glamorgan Council is all about and put simply; how we do things around here.
The Culture Book is a digital book written by staff, for staff.
As it is digital, the book will be available to all staff. It can be accessed by both front-line and office-based staff, prospective colleagues and partners through any computer, tablet or smart phone.
The book showcases how the Council's four organisational values: Ambitious, Open, Together, Proud, shape the work that we do.
Rob Thomas, Managing Director, said: “The launch of the Culture Book is a big development for the Council. Our culture is what binds us together as colleagues. Our values are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. They mean different things each of us and the Culture Book brings together the stories that best demonstrate how they guide our work.
“The Culture Book has been produced by the Council’s employee engagement group, working alongside our Organisational Development and Learning team. It is being launched as we look ahead to a period that may see great changes in how we work, and I hope will provide colleagues with timely reminder of just what makes this Council so special.”
As part of the launch, Rob will be hosting a special Question Time session to answer questions and explore the topic of culture.
