GLAM launches new logo
The new GLAM logo incorporates the trans banner and colours used by the Black Lives Matter movement, to represent people of colour

For the last 42 years, a flag with six distinct colours, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet, has been the internationally recognised symbol of the LGBT community.
But during the past year, Pride events, brands and activists around the world have been adopting ‘The Progress Flag’ as their symbol for the community instead.
Designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018, it features black and brown stripes to represent people of colour, and baby blue, pink and white to include the trans flag in its design.
You can see how the new GLAM logo, above, has incorporated these new colours to be more inclusive.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has flown a version of the progress flag above London's City Hall for the past two years and explained,
"This flag recognises intersections within the LGBTQ+ community honouring LGBTQ+ people of colour–whose activism inspired the very first Pride—as well as different gender identities."
Tom Narbrough, GLAM's Interim Chairperson, added,
"As we mark inclusion week it heartens me to be able to present our new logo for the GLAM network. Since the start of the pandemic, we have been exposed to ever more examples of hatred and persecution going on within our own society, and we need to stand proud and recognise that we are all in this together.
"Transphobia and racism have been on a stratospheric rise in recent years throughout Western culture and it is all of our responsibility to isolate and combat any examples of this, and I am proud to support my LGBTQIA+ colleagues, the trans community and particularly our ethnic minority network in making sure they are visible and valued."
