Over the weekend Dave and I walked with our dog Jasper and clocked up three miles each to go towards the Miles for Ukraine target. Jasper wants his miles included too please!
Walked the Penrhys Pilgrimage Trail from Penrhys in the Rhondda Valleys, to Radyr in Cardiff.
I recently completed 60 miles walking around the theme parks of Orlando Florida during March / April 2022 - my 2 nephews did more - so probably over 200 miles in total!

We try to compete a wellbeing walk/run each week so on April 14th chose to dedicate this one to #milesforUkraine - starting and finishing at the Dock Office we completed just over 3 miles .

Daily wellbeing walks with my furry soul mate, appreciating the beautiful areas we have within the Vale of Glamorgan - my daily route involves a woodland walk in Dinas Powys... and visits to the coastal areas and barrage.
These are the collective miles I have clocked up myself by talking a daily walk after work over the past three weeks, each walk being between two and four miles in length. I have completed a number of walks with colleagues (and logged those separately) which have been incredibly enjoyable after working remotely for so long. This has been a fantastic initiative both for what it is trying to do for the people of Ukraine but also for out own mental well being. There should be some more miles added by the end of the week!

We met at Nell's Point car park and circled Barry Island a couple of times to total 2.8 miles each.
I rode 100 miles from Dinas Powys, using the national cycle network to Neath then over the mountains on route 47 through Afan Forest, Rhigos Mountain and Llanwonno forest taking me to Pontypridd and back onto the Taff trail to return home. This took me around 10 hours.

Recently visited New York we had glorious weather and each walked 32 miles around the city over a 5 day visit, the longest walk in one day was 9 miles each which included a walk to and around Central Park, 5th Avenue, St Patricks Cathedral, sunset at the Rockefeller Centre with a view of the Empire State Building at dusk and a walk back to our hotel via Times Square. It was amazing.
The Cardiff Housing Enforcement Team took part in a walk around Bute Park to raise money for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. We raised an amazing £161!

The Housing Solution and Homes 4 U Teams plus canine friends took the Team Meeting to the lovely Cosmeston Lake and together walked 30 miles for the Ukraine Appeal. It was a lovely morning and a great chance to catch up with colleagues and do some good.
I walk three miles a day as part of my efforts to tackle the effects of the not particularly healthy lock down diet. So far, I'm down 25 and a half pounds in weight and clocking up those miles! On top of the 6.5 miles I walked last Monday (and added to our total), I walked a further 18 on the other days of the week and should be able to add at least 21 miles per week to our total going forward.

Some wood clearing in Porthkerry for the Wellbeing Champions this week. We cleared some of the debris from the recent storms to ensure that new wildflowers and woodland plants could grow in its place. Fetching and carrying over the 2 hours ensured we clocked up quite a few miles between us! We will continue these sessions and include the miles in this great cause. Well done all :)

Another beautiful week to be out and about. Its such a shame we don't have a 'like' button for this group, so many wonderful messages, love the mile of knitting Lisa! Pob Lwc to Suzanne Clifton (and any others taking part) in this weekend's Half Marathon.
First week complete and I've enjoyed walking around Barry in the sunshine, sometimes with the dog but he can slow me down! A total of 27 miles this week - hopefully a few more can be added next week.
The Accountancy Team walked round Romilly Park and the Knap today a fantastic opportunity to say goodbye to our team member Sarah Ingram and to catch up in person, making the most of the sunshine.
