Watch or Speak at Planning Committee
Council meetings will be held in line with the Council's Multi-Location Meetings Policy. These meetings will be live streamed and recorded for subsequent transmission via the Council’s public website. Meetings that are held on hybrid basis will take place in the Council Chamber and online. Please check individual meeting agendas to identify the platform (i.e. Remote or Hybrid) that is to be used to stream the meeting.
Planning Committee meet once a month (usually at 4pm on a Thursday) to consider those planning applications that have been ‘called-in’ by Local Councillors or more major development proposals not covered by the Council’s scheme of delegation.
The public are entitled to attend meetings of the Planning Committee to hear proceedings. Comments can be made in writing before the meeting, but there is also a provision for public speaking at the meeting.
Members of the public wishing to speak on any Planning application are requested to register to speak via the Vale Council website and have regard to the Council’s Multi-Location Meetings Policy and Public Participation at Council Meetings Guide
It is only possible to register to speak on an item that has been published on an agenda. Therefore, please check the relevant Committee agenda before registering to speak.
