Further Education Student Travel for 16/19 year old

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has a discretionary policy that provides help towards travelling to and from a student's chosen educational establishment. Students have to be aged between 16 and 18 years on or before the start of the academic year in which they are applying for, and must live more than 3 miles walking distance away from their chosen educational establishment.

The chosen educational establishment must be the nearest that offers the course that they wish to undertake and must be in either the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff or Bridgend.

All travel applications for Cardiff and Vale College and Bridgend College are dealt with by the colleges themselves.
